 I chose to do my somewhere assignment on the TV show you that is about a thriller between main character Joe and his short time lover Love. I thought this was a perfect picture since Joe is a killer and has an axe and then Love is more mysterious and you would never guess the character she turns out to be. I also added a house in the background since they try to give off the vibe that they are just a normal couple but there is so much more secrets to them than that. I really loved this project since I started using photoshop in another one of my classes a couple weeks ago so I did not really struggle with the program. It took me a while to think about how I wanted it to turn out but overall I am happy with the outcome and think I did a good job.   I think this picture would be hard to photoshop myself into since it is very complicated and has a lot of detail. You would have to be very experienced in photoshop to pull off adding any sort of image in this.  This picture stood out to me because of the pop of color as well as the setting. Since I have a passion for music I was inspired by this image since I have also been to a lot of concerts.  This picture had me laugh since there is so many instances where I look at pictures I am in and see someone in the background doing something interesting.  This illusion is cool since I have seen many pictures similar to this and was always curious how the image was taken. 

 

  I really enjoyed using different paint strokes over my original logo. I used the spray file first, scratches, and then negative. After we used the pen tool to outline the logo and create different forms of it. I was kind of overwhelmed when doing the masking for a specfic layer and then making sure I am on the right layer. However I also liked using the paint tool and learning to make different brush strokes and being able to save it to use it in the future. 

One statement that Platon said that got me thinking was right in the beginning when he said..." what important is the story, the message, the feeling, the connection, how do you make this reach people." Its amazing to see the people working in the studio and he points out little thinks in pictures that can be changed in order to really bring the visual to life. For example in the fisherman photo he talks about the texture and bringing the wood to life.  It is easy to tell of its a Platon portrait because it is all about lighting, it's about the persons eyes, and about the graphic nature of how he positions the camera. Also Platon focuses on connecting with the person before taking the photographs since it's how you can really connect with their feeling. Layering in photoshop This YouTube video explains the importance of layering in Photoshop. Even if it's text, shapes, or other overlapping images it is important to create a layer and name it to stay organized. There are two different types of layers content layers and adjustment layers. Content layers contain some type of object ( text, graphic or shape, or main image. Adjustment layers have an effect on the layers which is a type of non descuctive editing. This means they do not chance the actual image but just sit on top. Layers are useful because you can work with them independently. uploading an image  File open is the easiest way to open an image but this is not the best and fastest way in photoshop. Another way is to go to file and drag the image into photoshop since it's better visual. You can also open to browsing bridge by going to file and browse image in bridge. Bridge and photoshop are connected to each other. There you will search for the image and it's easier...

 Original Selfie   Self portrait on illustrator:  Propaganda Poster:  I did my theme to be a punk feminist vibe by using the words " Im my own type." I am not sure why when I exported it to be jpg to upload it to blogger some of the yellow defaulted to black. However, on drop box it does not show that. I was inspired by some images I found on Pinterest that I will insert below. I had fun doing this project but it was definitely challenging and frustrating to get some of the facial features. Even though it is not my best work I tried really hard from what I have learned in class. This assignment helped me become more experienced with illustrator and the tools as well.  Inspiration:
