Logo Tag Brush

 

I really enjoyed using different paint strokes over my original logo.
I used the spray file first, scratches, and then negative. After we used the pen tool to outline the logo and create different forms of it. I was kind of overwhelmed when doing the masking for a specfic layer and then making sure I am on the right layer. However I also liked using the paint tool and learning to make different brush strokes and being able to save it to use it in the future.

Business Cards

  I had alot of fun with this project since I was able to play around with different text and shapes. I used the eyedropper tool in order to match the color for my logos and changed the opacity. I had trouble at first uploading my tag brush in one of the business cards but I went back to photoshop in order to download it and upload it to indesign. I also liked playing with some different effects on the text like drop shadow and inner shadows.

 Inspiration:  Sketches: Artist Statement:  I did an owl since I feel like I have adapted to be an "night owl" since most of my classes are at night this semester back to back. Also I always thought owls were beautiful animals and are often overlooked. Its amazing they can spin their head 270 degrees and their feathers allow them to attack silently. I enjoyed this project because it allowed me to explore different colors and make different swatches. I also had fun using the gradient tool. It was kind of complicated to use but after practicing on other shapes besides my logo. I thought that the font I used for "C" was effective since it kind of matches the owls ears. I used the pen tool first then use the curvature tool to make it congruent.  Color and Black and white final:
